Two completely different kingdoms, two royal children unexpectedly meet in a forest. They meet at night for two months before not seeing each other again for ten years.
Chapter 3 Calla’s POV
Ten years later
I was summoned to my father’s study within the Phoenix castle. Told it was an urgent matter that needed to be discussed. I walked as fast as I possibly could wearing a big puffy dress that is an off the shoulder, sweetheart neckline, ball gown that sparkled with tiny diamonds and looked as if it was doused in flames.
I am the first born child of the Phoenix Kingdom at age nineteen, Princess Calla Natori. My hair was waist length and looked as if the setting sun had dyed it from being out too long. My eyes were a rare sun gold color that sometimes matched my wings that seemed to have been dipped in fire itself.
The spitting image of my great grandmother. I am the only child in generations to resemble a traditional Phoenix, while my father, stepmother, and half brother as well as all the other Phoenix's in the kingdom resemble the Phoenixes of the night.
Walking up to the doors of my father’s study I knock before being told to come in.
“Father? You asked for me?” I asked once I stood in front of him as he sat at his desk.
“Yes, the King and Queen of the Dragon’s have proposed the idea of arranging a marriage between you and their crown Prince, Aiden Draca. I asked for you to come here to see if you will agree.” He said as he looked up at me from the pile of papers on his desk.
I was shocked, me? Marry Aiden? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, but also afraid that he might not recognize me after ten years of being apart of if he will even be the same as when we were kids.
“I do agree,” I said a little too quickly making father look at me suspiciously. “I mean, for the treaty to stay intact, and to keep our kingdoms at peace. I don’t want anymore wars to occur.”
