Elijah Parker (35) is a successful veterinarian who owns his own practice with his brother, Michael Parker (40). When he's not tirelessly working at his practice, he's at his house, playing video games, reading, watching Indie films, or simply enjoying the peaceful solitude of his home. One morning while he's leaving for work, he notices someone is moving into the house across the street. Already running late, Elijah heads to work without introducing himself to his new neighbor.
Twelve grueling hours later and Elijah finally returns home. To his utter surprise, the new neighbor is throwing a massive party! Not in the mood to play games, Elijah does the only sensible thing and calls the cops to shut the party down. Elijah watches smugly from the front porch as law enforcement shows up and forces the partygoers to make their drunken exodus back home.
His eyes catch a young brown-skinned beauty with massive curls speaking with an officer. Elijah gulps as he watches the officer point in his direction, earning an evil glare from the beauty. Elijah balks as the officer turns to leave, and the beauty threateningly drags the tip of her thumb across her neck and shoots him both her middle fingers.
What starts as an intense prank war between neighbors soon turns into a scandalous tryst in Elijah's office, quickly turning the pair from enemies to lovers.
