I needed a job. Any job. My mom was sick, the rent was due, and I had exactly forty dollars in my bank account. So when I saw the nanny job at Cross Enterprises, I didn't care that my new boss was a billionaire, or that he was cold as ice in our interview. I just needed the paycheck.
I didn't expect to recognize his eyes.
Three years ago, on the worst night of my life, a stranger sat with me on a rooftop and made me laugh until I forgot my problems. I never learned his name. I never thought I'd see him again.
Now he's my boss. He's engaged to someone else. And he has two little boys who stole my heart before their father ever could.
