Evelyn Ashford became the cannon-fodder supporting female in a period drama, fated to have her jade space, family fortune, and even her own little brother snatched away by the heroine. According to the script, her whole family would die tragically, while the heroine would ride their corpses straight into the male lead’s arms and ascend to the pinnacle of life.
Evelyn laughed. “I know this script by heart but this time, I’m the one writing it.”
