Nathaniel Rivers, a professor of botany and zoology, quit his job and ventured alone into the Kunlun Mountains to collect research data, becoming a solitary yet radiant mountain keeper.
In his first winter there, he casually mentioned wanting a cat—only for his dog to promptly bring back an abandoned snow leopard cub.
"Buddy, I didn't mean this kind of cat. This is… way too illegal."
Hetho ught that was the end of it—until Selina, the snow leopard, caught wind of his reputation and showed up at his doorstep with a whole litter.
"Had a few too many. Can't birth them all, can't raise them all."
"You're great with kids. You deliver them, you keep them. I'm out."
Nathaniel Rivers: "Excuse me?! Ma'am, I am NOT the father of these cubs! That's… not my job?!"
Just when he thought a den of snow leopard cubs was already pushing the legal limits, Selina turned out to be a gossip:
"Hey, have you heard? That new two-legged creature in the mountains? Amazing with babies!"
